Sophie Ménard

Sophie MénardSophie Ménard has 18 years of experience in the field of adult learning and development. She has extensively researched and developed leading edge approaches in the areas of coaching, leadership development, interpersonal relations, human resource development and facilitation.

Sophie supports clients in building personal and professional leadership capabilities as an in-house training and human resource development consultant for multi-national corporations, as an experiential coach for individuals and teams, and as a university professor developing skilful group facilitators and human resource development professionals.
Sophie has worked within the private sector for the banking, insurance and aerospace industries; federal government clients include Correctional Services, National Defence and CMHC. Academic clients include the University of Quebec in Outaouais and Saint Paul University), and in the not-for-profit sector, the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution, United-Way Ottawa, and the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes.

While known as an effective bilingual adult learning specialist and dynamic facilitator, Sophie is also a firm believer and advocate of the efficiency of coaching in competency development and behavior change. Her doctoral thesis examines how the practice of executive coaching enables clients to become self-aware and insightful of their behaviors and their effectiveness.

Sophie Menard holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Montreal specializing in adult education. Over the past decade she has studied extensively with numerous well known training institutes to keep abreast of new theories and development in the area of coaching and competency development.
