Dave Crofton

davec.jpg (8944 bytes) Dave Crofton left the Federal Public Service, several years ago, following a 34 year career with Human Resources Development Canada. During that career he spent over 20 years in numerous manager and director capacities across Canada.

Dave has been active in leadership development and was the Project Director leading the Integrated Competency Based Management project for that department. He was also a member of the integrated HR committee, which included a Universal Classification System (UCS) component, determining the impact of the implementation of UCS on the organizational structure and developing the implementation strategy.

During his career with the public service he has had considerable experience in the development of job descriptions, determining appropriate classification levels, and activities related to grievances, resolving conflict, staffing, recruitment, and appointments. He left the public service in March 1998 and has since worked as a consultant particularly in the field of Competency Management, Strategic HR Solutions, organizational change, facilitation and workshop delivery in change, instructional techniques, presentation skills, conflict resolution and mediation.

He has also had a number of international assignments in Russia working for the Department of Labour, and responsible for the delivery of the leadership training and development workshops and coaching.

David is an accomplished consultant, facilitator and communicator comfortable with all staff and management levels. He is currently working on a organizational change initiative in which he works with all staff levels and Senior Management, makes numerous presentations and recommendations to Directors, Director Generals and Assistant Deputy Ministers. His clients include: Canada Post Corporation, Canadian Evangelican Church, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, The personal Insurance Company of Canada, and numerous public sector organizations.
